AERO-F AERO-S Tandem
In addition to their intrinsic fluid and structural capabilities, respectively, and when coupled together to form AERO Suite, the software modules AERO-F and AERO-S are capable of many different types of multi-physics analyses, including, but not limited to:
Aeroelastic Analysis
- One-way coupled steady-state aeroelastic (i.e, aerodynamic loads and static deflection) analysis.
- Two-way coupled steady-state aeroelastic (i.e, static aeroelastic equilibrium, divergence, etc.) analysis.
- Unsteady aeroelastic (i.e, flutter, limit cycle oscillation, buffeting, buzz, dynamic gust response, etc.) analysis.
- Accelerated or decelerated unsteady aeroelastic analysis.
Aeroservoelastic Analysis
- Unsteady aeroservoelastic (coupled fluid-structure-control) analysis.
- Accelerated or decelerated unsteady aeroservoelastic analysis.
Trimming Analysis
- Trimming of a flexible vehicle equipped with deployable control surfaces.
Maneuvering Analysis
- Unsteady flow computations around a maneuvering flexible vehicle with dynamic control surfaces and control laws.
Aerothermal Analysis
- Steady-state fluid-thermal (aerothermal) analysis.
- Unsteady fluid-thermal analysis.
- Steady-state or unsteady natural convection (buoyancy) computations coupling viscous fluid flow and heat transfer analyses.
Aerothermoelastic Analysis
- Steady-state fluid-thermal-structure (aerothermoelastic) analysis.
- Unsteady fluid-thermal-structure analysis.
Multi-Material Flow and Failure Analysis
- Steady-state or unsteady, highly nonlinear, multi-material (multi-fluid/phase-structure) flow problems with or without material failure.
Aeroacoustic Analysis
- Frequency-domain computation of the acoustic pressure and density radiated from a flexible obstacle and their power spectral densities in the far-field at user-specified locations, and when the free-stream velocity is zero, their far-field patterns.
- Time-domain computation of the acoustic pressure and density radiated from a flexible obstacle in the far-field at user-specified locations.
