Computational Mechanics Research Scientist for CMSoft, Inc. to work at our Palo Alto, CA loc.
Conduct research in mathematical techniques to solve problems in computational fields. Develop, implement, verify & validate numeric algorithms for adv comp mechanics apps. Build and run CFD, CSD and CFD-CSD simulations. Maintain & improve existing scientific software (sw), test new sw and supporting scripts. Prod theoretical manuals, technical documentation, client reports and presentations. Little domestic & international travel may be involved.
Must have: MS in relevant mathematics, science or engineering field (Aerospace, Civil, Mech, Comp Sci, Physics, or related) and expertise in relevant math, science or engineering field (aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, structural dynamics or physics). Requires relevant skills in applying math techniques to CFD & CSD; num algorithms for CFD, CSD and CFD-CSD; running distributed engineering sw; use and devel of large sci comp codes.
